Where are you located? My husband and I have decided, after the spectacle put on in Washington last week, that we want to get involved. We have sat by, doing nothing be voting, and then bitching when the republicans have gained the upper hand. I'm not sure what we can do, but we want to do something. Do you have any suggestions? We live in the Mojave desert just outside of Lancaster.

I feel the same way as you. I've been paying attention to a lot recently because of the debt ceiling debate. I actually found this place because I typed into google "why do conservatives lie."

Thanks for the friendly welcome. I just joined Politicalforum.com about a week ago thinking that by joining a mixed party website I could get some insight into their arguments and hopefully help me understand the conservative perspective. I quickly realized that all they do is lie, missrepresent facts, lie some more, call liberals socialist, and then complain to the site moderators when someone calls them out for lying. It's quite rediculous.

I actually am from San Jose and I have a month off from school, so I'm looking to help with democratic causes during this month that I have off.

there are many facebook activist groups . I think there is a Jobs march on DC for MLK at the end of the month
we really should have job marches across the nation in solidarity. I do have some family down in Mojave Valley
but they aren't activists. Hows the weather? and the rest of the Country is complaining jeesh they just need to
visit the Mojave for a week LOL

Life did a 180 from Friday to Saturday and I pretty much spent Saturday in bed with the covers over my head; it's all just too much sometimes.
