Miss Cali's Crown Yanked Carrie Prejean, who made controversial comments about gay marriage, was Miss USA runner-up until Wednesday

Prior to winning the 2009 crown, Prejean was a member of the San Diego Padres' Pad Squad as well as as a finalist for a case model on "Deal or No Deal." Carrie even modeled for E! Entertainment at the Academy Awards.

Pageant officials stripped Carrie Prejean of her title Wednesday.

This was a decision based solely on contract violations, including Ms. Prejean’s unwillingness to make appearances on behalf of the Miss California USA organization,” stated Miss Califronia USA director Keith Lewis. “After our press conference in New York, we had hoped we would be able to forge a better working relationship. However, since that time it has become abundantly clear that Carrie is unwilling to fulfill her obligations under our contract and work together.”

Prejean created controversy during the Miss USA competition, where she was first runner-up, when she answered judge Perez Hilton's question about gay marriage by saying marriage should be reserved for men and women.

She'll never have another opportunity to cash in like this again. Hell I don't even know the name of the girl who won the Miss USA crown, but I sure know who Carrie Prejean is, she's milked this for all it's worth. She can dump all those pageant obligations and become a RW darling, hell she'll go on all the shows, be guest hosting Fox and Friends, probably be a big part of a Palin or somebody else's campaign in 2012. She keep doing anti-gay ads for years and years, long past the time anybody will even care about it, but that's just how the RW welfare network works. You play ball you'll always have a job, if you're a novelty like Prejean, even better.
