Greetings!

I am writing to you to thank you for your support,
care, and concern for Bernie. Your abundant well
wishes and prayers are of great comfort to the Ward
family.

This response to your email is to tell you what is
being done on Bernie's behalf. A number of Bernie's
friends are working together to support him through
this challenging time. A website is being developed to

In answer to many inquiries, a defense fund is being
established this week. In the interim, Susan has
offered to accept donations for the Bernie Ward Legal

4. Sounds like a partisan hit job.

According to most of the stuff I've read, the government admits that the images were part of a journalistic investigation. But, they're prosecuting anyway because he broke the "letter of the law".

Yet, in a recent investigation by Dateline NBC, a Dateline journalist obtained fake passports from South American coutries and used them to enter the US in order to expose this security hole. I'm certain that there is a federal law making it a crime to enter the US on a forged document. Does anyone think the Dateline guy will get prosecuted for violating the "letter of the law" - even though there was a compelling journalistic purpose for doing it? Nah. Because the Dateline guy isn't on the Republican hit list.
