I so which I could help you folks out, but everytime I read another story about 'Ah-nuld', I feel so sorry you have such an idiot running your state.

3. Yes, but Texas is already a lost cause!
I feel awful for my liberal friends who live there, but Texas is a lost cause. California has been a great blue state for years now and I don't want to see it slip away. If California every goes entirely red then the democratic party might as well just close up shop. That dumbass special election crap the repukes forced on California is just their first step in hijacking the state.

4. He "won" with 30-something percent of the vote.
He is nothing like a done deal. It will depend on who
runs against him and how they run against him, and how
pissed off the electorate is at the time, and so on.

His positions on "immigration" are not going to help him.

5. He also wasn't tested in a primary . . .
so the people didn't get a good chance to see what type of person he actually is. This time around, if we're fortunate enough to have a Republican challenger, Schwarzenegger will have to reveal more of himself to retain the mantle and in doing so, he'll possibly split his own part and definitely screw himself with the Democrats.

6. It's too soon to tell
He's been slipping lately, as you have no doubt been reading. The election is seventeen months off and he has time to recover.

Schwarzenegger's personality is going dominate that of almost any opponent the Democrats can throw against him. For that reason, Schwarzenegger will pretty much have to beat himself and do it badly.

He knows he can't battle someone one-on-one. Remember, all bullies are cowards!

8. It depends on the special election
I think if we have a special election and the Propositions lose, then Arnie won't run again. I also think that Arnie may be damaged by the special election and seen as an opportunist even if he wins the Propositions.

Arnie is not as invulnerable as he once was. He's seen more as a politician and not as a novelty. Since he's not a great politician nor Governor, I think he will lose if we have a good candidate.

If we do get Arnie out, I think we all have the nurses to thank. They have been relentless. The teachers, firefighters, and police have also contributed but the nurses led the way.

9. I was a teacher at "Action Day" May 25...
...in Pershing Square, Los Angeles, demonstrating against Ahhnuld. I bussed in with fellow Dems from Bakersfield. It was great! And yes, the nurses are a finely tuned protest machine because they have been at it longer (they were there with us for support)

Re: the special election. If Ahhnuld calls one, it could be his undoing. I still have faith that this is a very blue state. After the State of the State address, Bully Boy showed his Repug face, and I believe that was a turning point. Anyway, if he calls a special election, you can bet I'll be protesting A LOT more. We will fight to bring this beast to his knees!!

:nuke: It's war!!!

10. Actor, Activist and a really good person Rob Reiner is
considering running for California Governor. This will not be any kind of joke to anybody in politics. Mr. Reiner knows the issues very well, has a very successful career and is very polictically connected. Also he will not have to be tutored in how government works like Arnold was (remind you of anybody?).

11. Hey Lynne,
Don't worry too much. Arnold had only a 2 month campaign, he's a coward. People are not pleased at all with him. The cracks are starting to show! Going up against firemen and nurses, what a total moron he is. I don't think he would fair well in a long campaign. But of course, it all depends on who we put up against him.....
