Rain!!! Doesn't it feel great!
Ah the smell. How long has it been? I'm so glad it's on a Saturday and I can be home to enjoy it. I'm serious, no sarcasm. The cats, dog and I will curl up on the bed and watch the rain outside.

3. And snow up here in the mountains!
I'm just about to take my dogs out for a romp in it. I'm looking at about 6" of the white fluffy stuff and it's still coming down heavy. It's been so long. This is awesome!

4. Outside o' Prescott here....
the birdies... quail, robins, and finches are having the time of their lives playing in the snow, laughing and giggling! Cottontails are happy, too.

5. Hi neighbor!
Right in Prescott here. I'm about as high up as you can get and still be in town. It can be snowing up here and raining downtown. I haven't seen this much snow in quite a long time and it's supposed to continue all day and night and even a 50% chance for more manana! Woohoo! My dogs are in heaven!

:hi:

10. Hi ya! Been here just 5 weeks...
from Northern California. Trying to get used to the politics, comin' from a bluuuuue area. ??!!

My Boston dog went out last night... he's used to rain, but has never seen snow before. He just stood there, still, utterly mystified.

As much as I loved the 'Wine Country' of Sonoma county, CA, this is the other most beautiful place on the planet!

14. I came from San Diego 10 years ago- so. cal girl here
Started out in Sedona but couldn't stand all the tourists every weekend. No offense to those who visit but it's a small place and completely overrun with cars on the weekends. Used to find myself over here or up in Flag come the weekend, so just moved here. One of the main reasons I left San Diego was because of traffic. Now I can't stand it when I have to go to Phx or Vegas. I'm so spoiled living here.

Yeah, getting used to the politics was tough but it's getting better. Actually it was because I felt so isolated that I found DU several years ago. Now I've discovered a lot more liberal friends around here so it isn't as bad. DU saved my sanity at one time though.

Sonoma is gorgeous! But expensive (like San Diego now). Welcome to the neighborhood!

8. My dog hates the rain too.
Shakes like crazy when it thunders, climbs on top of me and shakes. lol.

What kind of dog do you have?
Mine's a border collie mix. Cute, but crazy.

full size wiener. I love the energy of border collies. My sister has a lab/bc mix -- it's a beautiful dog.

15. Border Collies rock - here's mine in the snow

That's Boris with his head in the snow and Natasha thinking her brother is an idiot.

I had a BC mix named Rocky before these guys. He was petrified of thunder & lightning too but these guys are ok with it. I think I'll always have BC's. They have the best personalities - crazy is right!

17. How cute!
Jasper looks just like that.

I think Jasper was taken away from his mother too soon - seriously.
He is crazy. Been told that he has a obsessive-compulsive disorder.
A real smart dog, but barks way too much. Chases his tail, and catches it.
But - I love him anyway.

18. Could just be the Border Collie in him . . .
They are so smart that if they aren't constantly entertained, they get kinda nuts. Natasha gets hyper if she doesn't get enough exercise every day. I take them on 3 mile walks (every day) and play Frisbee and ball on and off all day. Boris doesn't seem to require as much attention but Tasha will let you know when she's bored. They were bred to chase sheep all day so they must get rid of all that energy. Many BC's are abandoned because they require so much attention. I got mine from AZ Border Collie Rescue when they were 18 months old. One of the reasons I got two this time is because Rocky (my last BC mix) was such a nut. They entertain each other most of the time so it takes the pressure off me. Does Jasper have a buddy? It might be something to consider if not.

Jasper is gorgeous! Looks like he gets brushed a lot. Beautiful dog!

Here's Boris trying to look as handsome as Jasper ;-)

20. Boris is mighty handsome.
They are a proud breed, huh?

Funny tho - Jasper never lets anyone brush him.
So I have gone thru about 4 vacuum cleaners since we had him.
Replaced the fuzzy sofa with leather.

Jasper looks alot like the first dog in your group of pics.

21. Yeah, he's my handsome boy
I'd say thank you but I really had nothing to do with it, lol.

Boris loves to be brushed but his sister hates it. We battle it out a couple times a week. Usually I win but sometimes I give up. I finally bought a really expensive vacuum cleaner (a "Riccar") and haven't had a problem since. It's going on 2.5 years and I've never had to unclog it or have it repaired. I went through Windtunnels like crazy before.

Yeah, Jasper looks a lot like Natasha. They have that same crooked white stripe on their nose. Amazing that you don't brush him; he looks so well groomed.

7. I'm sitting here all packed up to go play in the snow
in Pine, and the roads are closed.:boring:

Mudslides all over.
Roads suppose to open around 2.
They keep changing the time to later and later.

Something tells me to unpack
and go out and play in the rain instead.

11. I am such a slacker...
My car was filthy and seriously needed a good washing. When I realized how hard it was raining this morning, I backed it out of the carport and let it sit in the driveway all morning. The dirt and birdshit are nearly gone! And it didn't cost me a cent.
