and having to guess who was the incumbent president and who was not? Or, having to guess who was the slightly braindamaged pool boy and who was the war hero and dedicated public servant?

That's what the 60-odd million Americans saw. Bush isn't presidential. He's a deluded, petulant little man who thinks the only problem with his Iraq policy is someone telling the truth about it.
