What they don't understand about me, and millions like me, is that we are mad as hell about what is going on and it will show in this election. We will not be slackers this time around. He only has a cell phone and is young. His friends are all the same way, and many of them have never voted. They are this year, though.

My older daughter and my father-in-law voted for Nader last time, but won't make that mistake again.

And my younger daughter turns 18 on Oct. 23 and is already registered and planning to get an absentee ballot because she's in college.

So that's 3 new Kerry votes among our kinfolk.

I've always wondered about this. Come November, where do college students vote if they're away from home? I just don't see them asking for absentee ballots in mass.

You might also see if your state has early voting or absentee voting, since you are in college. That would free up your Nov 2 to allow you to help drive others to the polls, put out signs at polling places, etc.
