Check out this poll from Gallup on Obama

The most intriguing items to me:

- Almost half of Republicans think that Obama is willing to make hard decisions, is strong and decisive, and can get things done. Nearly 2/3 of Independents feel the same way.

- The Obama bashers on DU are clearly part of the 10% to 15% minority of Democrats. 9 out of 10 Democrats absolutely love the guy.

- Amazing to me that nearly 1 in 4 Republicans thinks Obama "shares their values". Why haven't I ever met any of these Republicans?

5. His PERSONAL numbers are higher than they were before the election.
And, ultimate, this is how people vote.

7. Yes he is. Most Americans wouldn't dare take on the tasks
that he is taking on at the same time. I may not agree with all of his decisions but overall I would rather have some one actually attempting to fix things than give lip service.

8. I think most of the people on this board who criticise Obama generally support him
Rather, they seem to be criticising a particular decision or statement he has made.

If anybody agrees blindly 100% with the President, they are not thinking critically. Personally, I would say I agree with the President 85-90%, but on the 10-15% of issues I disagree on, I will be respectfully vocal about it. Does this mean there's a chance in hell I will threaten to vote against the President? Of course not ... but I will find other ways perhaps to lobby for what I think is right, including for example calling my Democratic congressman.

9. Yes.
There's been a few times when I've been watching Rachel Maddow and I scream out "not the change I voted for!." But all and all I think he's a great president and wish him luck throughout his 8 year tenure.

10. Nobody blindly supports him
that's a right wing theme, because that's what they did regarding Boosh.

11. Did you not see the "Obama is Bush's Third Term" thread that was started?
That goes well beyond vocal, respectful disagreement.

13. There is no one here who "blindly supports" the President..
I know how to write letters on what I don't like..I just don't get sucked in by the corporatemediaWhoredom's latest Fail Push Talking Point.

12. Thanks for sharing that info. I was surprised to see the high
numbers in the Republican column. If I were one of those asshat Republicans in congress who think they have some huge base of voters, I might start getting nervous.
