DU this poll: "Is Obama trying to indoctrinate school children"?
From the Arizona Republic website. Results are reported on the local NBC affiliate news.

Do you agree with the parents who are refusing to let their children watch President Obama's education speech at school because they believe he's trying to indoctrinate them?

Yes is currently at 57% :eyes:

5. this is crazy. I hated Bush but it would never have occured to
me that children should be protected from his speeches even though I might have taken pity on them for being subjected to them. We are talking the President of the United States here and learning children should be trusted to handle various views, especially views of their president. I think kids are often more astute than people give them credit for.

33. At our school, teacher's have the option to show it or not
But if they do, they have to send home the permission slips. So that means if the child's teacher doesn't like our president or just doesn't want to show it, the children in their class don't even have the option to see it. :(

36. This is what the AZ State Supt. of Education had to say:
"Tom Horne, the Republican state superintendent of public instruction in Arizona, said he's troubled that the accompanying U.S. Department of Education
materials "are too worshipful toward Obama" and "educationally unsound." :puke:

24. Joe said that ~ pick me off the floor
The question I have is where are the "high ratings" for the Republicans?

On Health Care?

On Fox?

Obama's Poll Numbers were up.

25. Yup! He said more than that! I don't remember his exact words but he mentioned Glenn Beck
Edited on Thu Sep-03-09 10:51 AM by jenmito
among others! He was talking about Faux's high ratings. I think Beck's ratings in the last week or so were his highest yet, even beating O'Reilly. I think the only reason his ratings are high is because there are people tuning in to see how CRAZY he is!

30. Teacher girlfriend just called from 2nd grade classroom. Superintendent considering parent consent.
There's talk of having to send home a permission slip before teachers can show the President of the United States in the classrooms.

:wtf:

Apparently some parents have made calls.

This is sick.
