How many died because of no healthcare under BUSH'S reign?
Does anyone have any statistics please? How many died per year through lack of healthcare under Bush? How many people's health (including teeth) became worse due to lack of healthcare? I'm sure if people would step back and see the evidence they would be horrified!

Can we also get rid of that doughnut hole?

2. My question is how many will die if purported "progressives" in Congress kill universal healthcare
because the bill subsidizes people's private insurance bills instead of instituting a public option.

5. the single payer is the way to go and wind down the insurance companies
insurance companies can become government controlled trusts - profit goes straight towards people's health. The drug and medical supplies industry should be capped as they charge too much.

6. Accepting single payer ONLY is the way to kill and bankrupt more people.
This is not because Single Payer, if passed, would cause this. This is because Single Payer will not pass in this Congress.

It is astounding to me how many people can't conceive of the idea that something they want (even if they really, really want it) isn't actually going to happen. I thought most people on this site were grown-ups.

7. it is a process and it won't happen overnight
hospitals, doctors, drug companies and medical appliance companies charge way too much for their services. Everything is overpriced.

4. The number I have heard is 20,000. I'm not sure
who's number it is, but it seems plausible.

8. Actually, a more pertinate question would be
How many have died becase of no healthcare since the Clinton Administration. Bush never offered up health care as a componet of his administration. Clinton on the other hand made health care a major facet of his first administration.
