4. Wow..I'm so happy about this.
"Are we really still debating health care when a man brings a handgun to a church where the President is speaking?

How does a swastika spray-painted on a Congressman's office further a discussion about Medicare?

These are tough and challenging times and lots of people are scared about their jobs and the economy. But we can't let fear and frankly ignorance - drown out the serious debate that needs to take place - about an issue that affects the lives of millions of people.

It's time for everyone to take a deep breath and to focus on the task at hand before this sideshow drowns out the main event."

8. These are "tough and challenging times" because of the greed
and arrogance of the neocons and those they lead around by the nose.

It's like FR 2 some days. Oh, but what I really mean to say was that was an excellent, well-reasoned comment. I hope she has extra security. :eyes:

9. Katie did much to torpedo Palin in that on-on-one interview, also.
Palin never saw that one coming, probably considering Katie a "softball" interviewer.

14. yes, sometimes the simplest, most direct approach is the most insightful
Katie C. excelled at this in both the Palin interview and the writing in the OP.

She cut through all the BS.

I hope for more like this from Katie.

What kind of loose cannon are you dealing with when you tell someone, "let's try to calm down" and that sends them into fits of uncontrollable rage?
