Still Discussing what Obama said about the Gates Arrest, when Health Care is a DO or DIE, is...
Edited on Thu Jul-23-09 01:13 AM by FrenchieCat
Acting stupidly.

The media wants this to be an issue that we can argue over....
A juicy racial issue, in where the President doesn't have the right to an opinion, apparently.

If we are busy arguing about this,
we can't talk about how the Corporate media is bought and paid for by the Health Care industry
and their millions spend advertising all of their drugs and shit all over the media.

Without a doubt, the media acted especially complicit this week, and I don't think we should be forgetting that. They would rather we didn't discuss the merits of Obama's arguments on health care,
so what Obama said about the Gates incident makes things better for them.

If we talk about this as though there needs to be debate on the President's opinion
on how the police acted in Mr. Gates house, then the media will have us where they want us,
not talking about health care, and all of the lies that they allowed to be told this week,
we all be well....pretty much OK.

2. You know the phrase, feeding the trolls?
Edited on Thu Jul-23-09 01:14 AM by FrenchieCat
Well, we are feeding the media.
They love the buzz.

They love the fact that we ain't talking about their dumbasses,
the way that we were all day today and yesterday.

They love them some distraction.

4. Meaning they don't need our help, now do they?
It was the President's opinion that the police acted stupidly from what he understood about the incident.

I'm not sure why he can't be allowed to hold such an opinion, and state it when asked.

How come Obama can't say shit without everyone pouncing on him?

I don't see a rule that says that the police is always right in what they do.

6. They're going to force him to make an apology, Frenchie
They're going to hold the healthcare issue hostage until he does. The media is full of shit that way. They care more about ratings drama than they do reporting news. That's what my thread was about.

10. When you do the assholes work for them, by changing the topic
so that we don't get good healthcare that will affect everyone, I think you deserve what you get.

7. Yeah

I happen to disagree with the President, and you, about Skip Gates' little imbroglio, but the incident - - and Gates himself - - are of such little importance compared to the health care debate that it's not even funny. So I'm with you on your overarching point.
