Tomorrow is health care day in Florida

"We're going to talk about health care tomorrow in Florida," Mr. Lockhart told reporters in a conference call. "We're going to talk about jobs. But Iraq's been taking on a more dominant position because it's becoming clear to the American public how bad things are."

The Republicans are getting very confident

Dan Bartlett, the White House communications director, made an unusual round of calls to reporters covering the Kerry campaign to talk about the speech, saying the Democrats seemed to be "grasping" for new attacks.

"I guess with new advisers you obviously get new advice," Mr. Bartlett said of Mr. Kerry's newly beefed-up circle of strategists.

"We welcome the debate" on Iraq, he added. "You use the old football analogy, where would you like to be playing, on your side of the 50 or theirs? We're playing in their red zone."

Look it's Baghdad Dan.It's time to change the QB

Bush said at his fund raiser tonight that "we are going to win"

2. The football analogy is fun.
"Red zone?" There is no "red zone" the game of anti-terrorism -- that's the problem with subscribing to an overly simplistic world view.

Here's a more correct analogy: We went to the wrong stadium, challenged and played against the wrong team, but now the right team has showed up and we're playing both of them at the same time. And every time we run a nice play, a group of pissed off fans comes down out of the stands and joins the game against us.

3. So Bartlett thinks war and killing people is only a game
I think he should apologise to all the parents of dead american soldiers and to all the wounded americans in his "game". Maybe he could send them all purple heart band-aids with his apology. I think every right wing pundit and law maker should apologise for how they have dragged the good name of America through the mud and tried their best to stifle Free expression and debate on policy. Why do they hate America. They must apologise now.

4. "Football analogy" - my ass. B*sh sucks as a quarterback. . .
Inflexible, cannot scramble, cannot call audibles or change in the middle of a play when it's crumbling, etc.
