I'll Vote for Sarah Palin
Well.. in the Primaries anyway. Who's with me? If one more idiot conservative tells me that "I'm Afraid" of Palin running in '12... I'm pretty sure I might hit them. And normally, i'm not a violent person.

Do they not see:
A) Only 20% of the country thinks positively about Palin
B) A majority of the country really LIKES our current Commander-in-Chief
C) Most of the voters understand that a vote for Sarah is a vote for Elmo.. because they're both puppets.

So, line up.. tell your GOP friends that not only are you not afraid of Mrs. Palin.. but that you'll happily vote for her. In the primaries. See how they like that response!

1. Probably not
the reason being that there will be good Democrats in the primaries for state and local offices who will need my support.

2. The only problem would be if she won the primary
They is always the chance she could win or steal the General Election. It's not like they have not stolen elections before.

9. There are 10% of Fundies that don't like her???
I guess those are the ones who are pissed about her daughter getting knocked up... not for any other actual reason. :eyes:

24. It would not be close enough to steal
stealing one state is easy, see Ohio & Florida. But she would have to steal 7-10 states

5. Exactly...
I suppose my post was tounge-in-cheek.. I don't think (or hope) that many dems would do this.. but I find it funny that so many on the republican side think that we're actually afraid of Palin.

WHY?

Her approval rating isn't exactly steller.. she is the poster child for the "I don't really know what the hell i'm talking about but I can wing it" type of politician.

And, she actually divides her OWN base.. hell - I think 40% of the GOP doesn't even like her.. the ones who seem to think they have an idea on how they want to fix things.

I'd just like to scare a few of them with their own medicine.. let them think that we're so afraid of Palin that we'll line up to vote for her to help her get into the General.

We don't have to do it - we just have to make them think that we will. That alone might make them realize how stupid they sound. Na.. actually, it probably won't.

26. Pretty well
It kept Hill around 4 month longer than she should have been costing Obama money and time to campaign for the general. If grandpa had not picked an idiot it might have went the other way

4. That was my thought on babybush back in 1999. Who would be stupid enough to vote for him in primary?
Enough people were stupid enough. Twice. Disregarding election fraud, there still were enough stupid scared people to vote for him. Same with palin.

6. Palin can NEVER win a general election
nor could Gingrich, or that angry asshole Tom Tancredo...

I guess Mitt "flip" Romney (whom I absolutely hate) is stronger than the aforementioned, but he still will face significant hurdles to even get the nomination...

11. Thankfully I don't think Dems are as stupid as Rush...
I sort of posted this tounge in cheek (now.. back in November I actually thought it might be a good idea).

Frankly i'd just like to let the GOP think we'd LIKE to do it.. and thus have no fear of Sarah Palin. And I actually DO have fear of her.. she's the kind of person who would destroy this country if given the opportunity. I only sleep at night because I know that the majority of American's actually see that. But, to a previous posters point - that doesn't mean that elections can't be rigged.. which is why I wouldn't actually do it...

But, on the other hand.. i'm not sure what is worse.. an evil idiot in power or an evil smart guy. I guess that is the difference between a Bush and a Hitler. Perhaps Palin really is the better option then?

Or we just keep Obama in for the next 4, and then line someone up who is as good or better for '16.. and thank our starts that so far there has been no "scandal" yet to screw us. The presidency is young though...

13. I wouldn't be so hasty...or so sure she'd lose a general election. She is
exactly the type of idiot that gets their base fired up.

One word: Bush.

Need I say more?

and "security moms" among others that Palin won't get.

20. Ummm.... they were called soccer moms. And yes, Palin can count them among her supporters.
Her supporters are rural and southern, and western, and southwestern, and male, and female. And religious. Or gun owners. Or both.

They are people who don't know much about current events or history.

She can count many women, especially mothers, and especially soccer moms, among her supporters. As one mom to another, they speak each other's language.

21. Ummmm...that was in 2000. In '04 they were called "Security Moms."
And Palin won't win more of them than Bush did or more than Obama did/will again. You DID see the results of this last election, didn't you? They THOUGHT they'd win the women's vote because she's a woman. They LOST women's votes.

I dunno, but I'd just as soon never hear nor see Palin again. People of her ilk are a cancer on the political scene, and as ridiculous as they my seem, are highly dangerous too.

31. Only if Bachman is VP, Rush is SoS designate, Dubbya returns for Treasury,
Rove at Justice, Hannity takes over at Defense, and Pat Robertson for Commerce. Hell, I DEMAND a seat at the table for Dan Quayle as well.
Yep, I'm needing an actual "Team Sarah" ticket with weirdos pre-named to the Cabinet and a VP onboard an ready to go in the primaries. A full on infinite ring flying circus of the nutjobstars.

If I'm going to pay to watch a trainwreck, the motherfucker better be WAY off the rails.
