I've watched Wanda do the "Rush was the 20th Hijacker" joke at least 5 times
and have yet to see anyone in the audience "gasping" or appearing uncomfortable.

If anything, they all roared with laughter.

:wtf: is John King talking about?

2. It's because of the way she set it up
I was a little wary of the line all by itself, I admit, but then I heard the set-up. It's brilliant.

Prediction: you will never hear the whole bit on Rush or Hannity or any other conservative venue, because it balances Rush's outrageous remarks with what Wanda says. And the mitigating factor for Wanda is that it's obviously an exaggeration. She knows Rush wasn't the 20th hijacker and everyone knows she knows it. It's a joke - but Rush's wishing that Obama fail isn't a joke at all. He means it.

5. At the risk of pi$$ing you and everyone else off, how you could stand
to listen to her high-pitched chalk on a blackboard voice, and five times no less, is heroic. I never could stand her, turned her off after about three seconds. Her delivery is crap. Perhaps it's a cultural thing and I expect to get flamed... It also would have been good if the President had done some rehearsals so he didn't have to constantly refer to notes and lose his timing and rhythm. I was very unimpressed from the beginning with screaming teeny boppers in the lobby. The hotel manager was way off on that one.

IMO probably the worse WHCD I've seen in a long while.

And I think the "never could stand her" comment explains your "worse WHCD in a long while" comment.

Here go enjoy this one or get some perspective.

33. President Obama has better things to do than to "rehearse" for some dinner.....
I would bet on that.

Under the circumstances that he doesn't have the type of time on his hands as did all of the Presidents since Roosevelt, he did damn good! Almost too Damn good, in fact!

14. Jennifer Loven (the MC) was decidedly unamused....
.... And there where a few in the crowd who KINDA laughed but were shaking their heads "no." (Which, to me, looked more like "oh, Rush will be mad at us for laughing at him!" than anything else.)

Wish I was able to listen to Rush' show tomorrow.

31. I have no idea what that posed rappers used to do in the '90s...
... where they'd cross their arms over their chests and draw their shoulders up ... but did you see the Too Whack MC doing that last night when the President ORDERED HIM LIKE THE PUNK THAT HE IS to STAND UP!!! LOL

Oh, that was funny. The only thing that would have been better is he'd then instructed Ludacris to throw him out of the room. lol

You called out someone and it was open season. My Father would get a bit uncomfortable but my Mother would let it go and chuckle. Maybe that is why I take no issue with Wanda's comments. Rush wants to be outrageous... then get ready to duck because the barbs will be coming back at you.
