What is the time table on a Holder decision on speical prosecutor?
And what in gods name still needs to be considered to determine whether or not and investigation SHOULD happen?

1. He's not gonna tell you til he figures it out.
As it should be. Plus, he's out of the country.

3. Figures out what to ask for maybe? I have heard so many differing
opinions, I don't know what the right way is.

He's going to do something, he has no choice. Is that a commission, or a special prosecutor? Will he wait until the Senate completes their investigation in a few months? Should we rush in to this or have our ducks in a row? Most of this new info this admin has found and released is new to them, too.

They're treading cautiously, but they're treading.

4. I really don't understand. How is that even a question?
If you have evidence of criminal wrongdoing - as we indisputably do - then the appointment of a special prosecutor is.... I thought.... the only appropriate option for a department of justice.

Is the Senate actually conducting a real investigation? Is it the intelligence committee? When did it start?

5. Let me just add - what your saying makes sense too, I haven't concluded anything. I'm just
trying to understand what I should rightfully expect from the DOJ and when I should expect it.

6. There are practical and political reasons that this takes time.
There is no "time table", and there's really no reason to publish one if ever he created one.

My guess is that the department is conduction preliminary investigations, pouring over documents, awaiting other documents, and holding formal and informal meetings with a number of people with regards to how best to proceed.

It is what it is, there isn't any reason to rush to announce anything at this point.

7. Believe it or not, decisions of this importance are not made
with respect to the patience of anonymous commentators on internet message boards.

10. But one should fairly expect that they are made with respect to the amount of evidence accumulated.

8. He will almost certainly be asked about this tomorrow.
Last time he spoke about this he said he was handing it over to the Justice Department to have a looksie and that he'd leave it at that.

I'd be fine with a reiteration of that statement. I'm even fine with him in the role of the Reluctant President. Plays well in places.

I'm good as long as we keep moving forward on this.

9. I hope they release more..
classified memos and more people come out and spill before a Special Prosecutor is appointed. Once that happens, can't they keep the new info under lock and key? I'm not sure what the right thing to advocate for is at this point.
