My apologies to DU I voted for Evan Bayh in 2004
Wish I could take back that vote. I should have wrote in my father like I normally do when only a Republican is on the ballot.

I wish Bayh was more progressive and didn't bolt from the party's position as often as he does. But I'll take someone who will vote with the party 75% of the time over someone who will vote with the party zero percent of the time. Doesn't mean I wouldn't support a primary challenge to Bayh, just that when it gets to the general, I'd rather be pragmatic then end up with someone with whom I will never agree.

3. I've voted for moderate Repubs on school boards and city councils more than once
Those races are non-partisan and very often there is no Dem on the ballot so your choice is between some crazypants or the more reasonable one.
