Obama Would Crush Palin (Public Policy Polling survey)
Obama Would Crush Palin

A new Public Policy Polling survey shows President Obama would crush Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin in a hypothetical 2012 presidential contest, 55% to 35%.

Yes, it's probably way too early to run these types of polls, but insofar as Palin is concerned, there are some interesting findings. "The key reason Palin would lose to Obama by so much is that even though she might be the top choice for a certain segment of voters within her party, there's also a number of Republicans who say they would vote for Obama if their party nominated Palin."

More: "Palin is viewed negatively by 50% of voters in the country with just 39% holding a positive opinion of her. 69% of Republicans have a favorable view of her, while only 11% of Democrats do."

9. I know, isn't that useful?
As if a poll today can predict November 2012.

2. We could plan our own "Operation Chaos" for the 2012 GOP primaries
to vote for her in the states with open primaries in '12.

4. If Obama doesn't have any opposition, I just might
In Virginia, I don't think unopposed candidates are even on the ballot, so if I want to vote in the 2012 primary I'd have to vote in the Republican primary, unless Obama has token opposition, in which case I'd probably cast a symbolic vote for him because I don't really believe in screwing with their primaries. If Obama doesn't have token opposition I will be torn whether to pick the Republican who seems easiest to beat or the one who would be least offensive if they did manage to win. I guess it depends what's going on at the time. I believe that in 2012, Obama is going to get reelected or he's not depending on how the economy is doing, and it may not matter that much who the Republicans run.

8. Noone will oppose Obama in 2012, you can take that to bank...
noone of any relevance, anyway.

And even if the economy isn't doing well in 2012, if the GOP nominates Bible Spice, Obama will mop the floor with her. And the reddest of the red states are going to vote for "that one."

5. Even 35% seems disappointingly high. Who are these people?
Edited on Wed Mar-18-09 11:15 AM by Liberal_Stalwart71

7. Well
Ironically... I personally believe that as Palin gets older... and therefore "less attractive in some eyes" she will become more popular.

how to do brain transplants.

You can't fix stupid like that. Not at her age and arrogance level.

11. yeah, yeah, yeah...
I knew I'd have to explain this...

She's prototypical pub.

Why doesn't she pull in 100% of the pub vote?

2 reasons... some honest minded pubs just know that she's stupid. The other half think she's had better "work" done than they have... and just wish she'd be in a size 10 by now...

She'd be at 40% at 170LBS and no recent botox injections, lol...
