Richard Burr's been a senator for four years and was a congressman before that but if you to go to his website and click on constituent services this afternoon what you would have seen would be a blank page, basically -- see below:
Now that's not very boastful for a Senator and we all know they like to boast. What happened? Slowly but surely Burr's team has started scrambling because now you have the very cool headers like, "Academy Nominations" and "Federal Government Resources" as is provided to you below:
As you can guess the Dems are jumping on and loving this. Says DSCC C.D. Eric Schultz: "If only Richard Burr was as responsive to his constituents as he was to the media exposing his blank webpage then he wouldn't be so vulnerable in 2010."
Obviously it'll be fine and dandy and it'll blend in as though no hiccup happened but til then, people are watching and laughing at the lack of Burr's "constituent services."
Burr's press guy Chris Walker explains: "It’s a website glitch that if checked is now fixed. The page wasn’t showing up correctly. There were 6 other pages that were working fine."
