There needs to be a law for public disclosure of stock withholdings by those who work at CNBC
and all others reporting on financial news.

I believe most of these so called "business journalists" are profiting from short positions by continuing to go on the air daily and continue to bash the economy and Obama and his policies. They are doing nothing but creating more public fear about the financial markets and the economy. They are basically saying we are all going to all be doomed under Obama.

I guarantee you that Santelli and Cramer are profiting off their news.

1. On some shows I've watched,
they always did disclose. Certainly on Rukeyser. Haven't watched much tv lately, but you certainly are correct; no way the public could determine possible basis for bias, and other 'baddies.'

I just found this article for my blog dated 2003-asking this very question in the New York Times

http://welfarequeenandhergun.blogspot.com/

original article here: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9C03E7DC1E3FF93BA15754C0A9659C8B63

Though I think this needs to go beyond disclosure.
