This is the guy I met at Kerry HQ
http://www.vvaw.org/veteran/article/?id=425

I helped him make phone calls to veterans, making sure they knew that the Madison, WI venue had been changed.

I've seen him all over, from State Fair where he was helping hand out Vets for Kerry shirts, buttons and bumper stickers, to the visit we had in Waukesha from Jim Wasser and Max Cleland (my only rally so far) and also in Kerry HQ. He was making phone calls, and talking about how they had huge Kerry signs made up from money out of their own pocket.

Vets for Kerry isn't part of the campaign per se. It's a true grassroots effort. The only thing they're getting from the Kerry campaign in Milwaukee is the coordinator's desk space.

I'm proud to know this guy.

1. Next time you see the guy
tell him thanks for me for both his service and his dedication to the Kerry campaign. And thank you for helping out, also.

I wish I could do something like that, but I don't have a lot of time on my hands. I did make a contribution to the DNC today and I've got a Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker and yard sign. That will have to do it for now.

Here's to everyone getting out there and doing something to kick BushCo out of office. :toast:

2. You are too Droopy
Under the list of things people can do, there is one called "visibility."

You are on visibility patrol.

And the DNC contribution is huge. That will help get out the vote.

Good work, soldier.

3. I met Kerry in ABQ last summer
2 houses away from my dad's. He seemed ever so nice and sincere (at that point I NEVER imagined he would be the nominee) I was a Deaniac. The more I look back on that meeting, the more I wish I could have seen him as the nominee.

He made eye contact and answered questions soooo directly....I entered the home so flippantly - my son (7) and I were both sooo grungy after returning from the CO cabin.

If I could just do it all over again....

At least I got a good pic!
