1. The Dems are doing a terrible job selling the package
Obama was at his best when he was attacking Bush and McCain. He can attack without it sounding harsh because he's so likable and he has a warm smile. If he plans to "rise above the partisanship" for the next 4 years, the result isn't gonna be good.

2. How is the GOP rhetoric working if most people WANT the stimulus package?
The GOP does not want it at all, not the spending part of it and cutting taxes is not a stimulus on its own and the public gets that. I am sort of tired of the hand wringing here. Even I want some changes, take the ridiculous stuff out that does not belong regarding the economy. Does that mean I don't want this bill or or that I like the GOP ideas better? That is not what this polls says at all.

3. Its the Democrats in Congress doing a terrible jo of sellig the plan
The Republicans have done a great job of ripping it apart.

Obama does his job. Everyday he is how there saying how bad the situation and how important it is to pass it. Democrats in Congress need to learn from how the Republicans continued to push Bush's agenda.

6. Are they selling it at all? When I go to the Y in the afternoon to work out, CNN doesn't ever have
ANY Democrats on talking about it. But that's just a limited view into the Corporate Media's coverage...

5. The Democrats and the administration
are doing a terrible job communicating about the Bill. Utterly awful. That part of the game needs to be sharpened and fast. I get calls each day from worried Democratic voters, asking what is true and what is spin and what is a lie. Folks are frightened. It is that simple.

9. Could it be possible that
the package served up by the Dems isn't exactly perfect and needs modification?

Personally, I sick of all the blogs and news talking about who is "winning" and who is "losing" on the package. If we don't WORK TOGETHER, we all lose.

10. Washington isn't a place where people go to work together...it's a place where
they go to get two things: Power and more power.
