Well, I've found my label for Bush, thanks to Kerry, and I'm gonna make it stick. Not only is Bush excusing himself, he's trying to make us all a country of whiners who have excuses for everything we do. Did we torture prisoners at Abu Graib? Oh well that's ok, the terrorists are worse. Are we creating a deficit that boggles the mind? Pooey, deficits don't matter. Have we blown every shred of goodwill the world extended to us after 9/11? Oh, that's all their fault for not agreeing with us! Have we created a monster in Iraq that destablizes the whole world? Never mind, we meant well.

The EXCUSE President.

7. On more line I would like to see turned against Bush

When speaking of education reform, Bush likes to remark on the soft bigotry of low expectations. I would like to see Kerry turn it on him by asking, "Who has benefited more from the soft bigotry of low expectations than this President?"

I think it would be a great lead into this theme of lack of responsibility and victimhood that Bush hides behind, all of which would play well across the Midwest.

After all, who was admitted to Yale not on test scores but as a legacy student? Who is considered to have won a debate if he can simply avoid choking on his own saliva? Who runs for re-election asking the American people not to consider that under his watch the greatest attack on our country was committed, jobs were lost, a $500 billion surplus was wasted, and a $425 billion deficit was created?
