Thanks GDP!
GDP always knows how Obama's fucking up....

Did anyone pause to think this is all a little show he is doing- so come three years from now he can easily say I tried to work with Republicans on every measure?

I hope he smiles and has Repukes for dinner once a week!

Um- we do have the majority remember?

I have a new idea- can we talk about cardboard cutout gate again?

1. I was convinced
that he would have legalized Lonnie Anderson's hair by now. I feel betrayed.

3. Alas.
Some things I fear are too inconcievable for President Obama!

2. Working "with" them
doesn't mean giving into them which is what he did and they still didn't vote with him. Hopefully, he'll know better than to trust them the next time they promise not to move the football.

There is governing and there is Governing.
After 8 years of Bush we seem to think that monomaniacal narcissistic dictatorship is the only way to go. Bush governed to wreck, Obama is trying to govern to succeed, hence he will reach out, and if he recieves nothing in return, he will make the Republicans look bad for it.

4. I don't think that Obama is fucking up. However, nothing is certain
and the plan may not work, just as the funds voted last fall do not work.

For Obama to share the responsibility for any success or failure is what he has been promised.

(Of course, I do not read every post here, especially the ones trashing Obama, but to "conclude" that GDP trashes him is a bit exaggeration).

6. Well, the measure will go back to the house for final vote AFTER senate gets done with
...it and after committee.

Obama gave them cover by having the low hanging fruit of crap that wasn't need being taken out by them and they still hung themselves by voting against working class tax cuts.
