I hear they may be proportionately distributed.

1. Depends on how election were to turn out . . .
If Kerry won popular vote in CO, no. If he doesn't, yes. Judging from recent polls I've seen, CO looks competitive.

But regardless, proportional EV would be better than current system.

2. Agreed. Proportional distribution of Electoral Votes is better.
It's just that I'd hate for Colorado's changing this year to be the reason Bush gets back into the White House.

Only a subset of states moving to proportional EV can skew the EV/popular vote disparity even more.
