"Our news network is not a news network."
From my wife just now.

MSNBC is running yet another pre-recorded non-news show in prime time.

This and prison show marathons on the weekends.

I am all for Keith and Rachel taking well deserved vacations.

Why can't they just have someone else deliver the news in their slots?

They are coming off worse than the Fox infotainment network.

1. I agree...
Tamron Hall did a great job subbing for KO last week. I wish they gave her a live slot tonight.

8. She's sure no Rachel...
She may be attractive, but was incredibly nervous and doesn't have the voice. I'd much prefer Alison. She tries to emulate the attitude of Keith... :D

2. A repeat wouldn't be SO bad....
... if it had not orignally aired a week ago.

I would love to see a Countdown from WAY back ... the night of Super Tuesday or something.

3. Hell, I woke up to XM radio (AAR) this am to a 11/06 rerun
of The Young Turks--talking about the 2006 elections and our taking the senate and house majorities. This after my paid subscription service has either preempted the progressive channel much of every weekend throughout football season and often on weeknights AND run nothing but reruns throughout the holidays. I'm paying for this?

Fortunately, I stream MSNBC online, so I don't feel like I'm also paying for that crap right now... The holidays really really suck in this regard...

4. I see no problem with them taking off a couple of weeks a year
Let's remember there are people beyond Keith and Rachel that make the shows what they are, and they need a break too.

5. And I said so in my post. It's the "news" network that is taking time off.
Put Shuster or someone else in the seat for an hour.

Keep up the pretense that it's more than an opinion delivery network.

Give us the damn news!

7. I sure agree! There is absolutely nothing on, on weekends and holidays...
Is there NO news taking place on these days?! And the last thing I feel like watching, if I'm home all day and looking for news, are those awful "marathons" they have of life behind bars or grisly murders... x(

9. Of course it's not!!!
I stopped watching that sorry excuse of a "news" network months ago.

Half of the programming is led by jerks like Tweety and the other half is about jail life.

:puke:
