4. Please point out the "Obama haters on DU"
Edited on Thu Dec-18-08 04:50 PM by Bucky
There are people mad at Obama. There are people disappointed in his selection of Rick Warren. Heck I don't even hate the people who are being purposefully thickheaded and refuse to acknowledge the difference between dissent and disloyalty.

I would think that when people like Joe McCarthy and George Bush make that same error, a good Democrat might want to avoid it. But I'll always stand up for your right to be a complete ignoramus on this issue. Ah, tolerance!

5. Time's Man of the Year is a mixed bag.
Adolf Hitler was the winner one year.

'nuff said.

6. Are you now comparing the two?
If so - Godwin's law.

7. No, you said that.
I am saying that it is not necessarily an accolade to be given the title, that's all.

But thanks for trying to set me up.

8. You know what the POINT is, don't you?
To recognise the single person who for good or ill has had the greatest impact on news and events over the course of the previous year. By that standard, well, Adolf Hitler was a pretty obvious choice in 1938. As Barack Obama is a pretty obvious choice for 2008.
