Bush presidency bookended by typewriter hoaxes
Edited on Sat Sep-11-04 09:53 AM by Cocoa
How appropriate the Bush/media presidency will end with a reckless charge of typewriter-related wrongdoing.

Remember one of the very first Bush lies the media fell for/promoted? The bad Clinton people supposedly committed one last insult against the dignity of the White House before they left, they trashed the place and removed the W's from all the keyboards.

Lots of outrage among the whores. Then oops! it turned out it was a total hoax. They even conducted some kind of official investigation, which said the whole thing was made up.

2. Nicely done!
BTW, wasn't it Bush who used a FAKE Niger document to "prove" that Saddam was importing yellowcake uranium in the 2003 SOTU?

And now the same bunch wants us to think this TANG documents were forged when they can't tell real from fake themselves?

BWAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!

5. The experts are coming around
The honest ones anyway. They jumped out there and made some silly claims like "there were no curly commas" and such, and now they are saying they were wrong.

Well, except for the one who contributed to the Pugs. I'm sure she'll swear to her dying day that nobody could have centered a line before MS Word came along.

6. And what is with
the so call experts? It took what.... a Google search for font history and IBM type writer history and the whole Freerepublic "forgery" line was sunk. We had how many fools on TV yesterday telling us no way, no how could this be from a type writer of the era. It's a sad day when the White House reporters on NBC and ABC lead with a story that was con-coked on a blog and then not even slightly verify it. Walt Starrs research on Bush wearing a medal he did not earn was research a hell of a lot more then the forgery line and it wasn't reported at all.Well the Guardian did have it in an article, thats it. I wonder what would of happened if Walt had been a freeper and had come to the same conclusion about Kerry. What a media frenzy that would have been.
