3. I agree. I think that McCain might try his best to help Obama out...
then retire from the Senate with his reputation somewhat intact.

I think McCain will retire after he finishes his term.
I can't imagine he's interested in working to 2016 which would be the end of the 2010 Senate victor's term.

He already polls well ahead of any potential challenger.

Of course...so did Hillary Clinton 2 years ago so take it with a grain of salt.
