Kerry to speak in Allentown today

Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry will speak to supporters at 5:30 p.m. today at the Allentown Fairgrounds, his campaign announced Thursday.

Kerry is scheduled to speak at an hourlong rally at the fairgrounds grandstand, according to a news release. The fairgrounds are at 302 N. 17th St.

Shortly before his appearance, Kerry is expected to fly into Lehigh Valley International Airport in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, the release states, and he is to fly out of the airport soon after the event.
