And Minnesota voted overwhelmingly for President-elect Obama.

Racism is, unfortunately, alive and well in Minnesota, and my unofficial guess is that that issue suppressed some of the vote there for Obama.

I have every confidence that Minnesota will remain blue in presidential races. Minnesota is my state, and if I have to move back there and kick some ass myself, I will. :D

It's the home of the DFL party, and that legacy will not go down easily.

The bitterest pill for me, of course, is Norm Coleman continuing to sit in Paul Wellstone's rightful seat.

Jesse Ventura was elected governor in a three-way race against Norm Coleman and Skip Humphrey. Coleman was largely disliked and Humphrey was seen as ineffectual. No candidate got anywhere near 50% of the vote, so it's a little disingenuous to blame the whole state for Governor Ventura.
