A lineman from the power company was walking the lines in our field when our dogs took note of him. We went to retrieve the dogs and ended up talking to the lineman for a bit. We were both dancing around the election since no one wants to get into an argument, but I think we finally broke the ice and said we voted for Obama. He was heading home to do the same and said he was very moved by the NPR report on the DR Show on NPR this morning about the voting in NC. Great to see this.

8. We all have have to stand together right now. This is going to be a very long night.
I also thank all my white friends and co-workers for their their support for Obama. Although things have gotten ugly, this election has taught me that there are people who actually care out there.
9. Did everyone hear what Norah O'Donnell said about
the affect of the Rev. Wright ad in Pennsylvania? (I think it was Norah, or someone on MSNBC) Anyway, she said that it appears to have backfired hugely and served only to encourage African Americans to vote and stand in line for as long as it took. I love it.
