2. I live in the most Liberal area of Georgia and turnout is massive.
I heard on local news that at least one red area far away from here is seeing light voting.

Please, oh please God. Let Saxby lose.

5. Madison, WI
I voted at 2 pm. I was voter number 821 out of 1200 registered voters in our ward (that does not count new registrants - you can register to vote on election day in WI).

I'm very excited and feel a little woozy :)

6. We're in a liberal precinct
of a moderate city in a conservative state. The turnout was maybe a little heavier than usual, but no lines or anything.

9. All vote-by-mail here, so it's hard to judge, but
there are lots of Dems at corners with signs, and much waving and honking. I was at a grocery store across the street from one of the high schools, and the place was full of kids on their lunch break. They were very high-energy, and talking about the election. It's so good to hear kids saying: "I wish I could vote!"

10. my husband called to tell me gates (rochester, ny) had cars all lined up to go vote at the town hall
this morning. he also called later to tell me the radio was talking about long lines up in buffalo at voting places. i haven't voted yet. waiting for my husband to get home so we can all go together. emily says she wants to go in with me and ashley will go in with bob. i want our girls to be a part of this election. emily said she voted for obama in school. i guess they went over the two candidates and their plans. emily told me she realized obama was good and mccain was bad. i told her mccain isn't bad, they just have different ideas for what they want to do. then i asked her what she liked about each of the candidates and their plans.

11. Liberal area--high turnout
I waited over an hour and a half..by far the most I've ever waited. And, I noticed a LOT of minority voters..even in a very diverse community this was noticeable!
