Why did Bush just stare at the reporter who asked
him about Cheney's remarks??

My guesses:
He didn't know about it.

He couldn't think of a short answer.

Just being totally arrogant??

What do you think?

18. remember the story from 9/11?
Ari Fleischer held up a piece of paper for Bush to read, with "DON'T SAY ANYTHING YET" written in big block letters. :scared:

24. or he just didn't WANT to answer the question.
Can't say anything against uncle dick, couldn't make the statement himself, and doesn't want to change the impression that uncle dick left on their followers.

2. How long did he stare?
About seven minutes, maybe?

Perhaps Bush has a REALLY slow reaction time?

4. All of the above are probably correct
Actually, I think that he has no idea what Cheney said yesterday. Just like he has no idea what the hell is going on in the rest of his administration.

5. He didn't know the answer.
Why do you think he has so few press conferences? His handlers are scared to death of what he might say. And he has proven them right, as with the interview with Matt Lauer in which he said in an unguarded, unrehearsed moment that we could not win the war on terror.

21. I think that's it exactly
His Chimperial Manlessty had decreed that no questions would be asked or answered in The Presence. The reporter's audacity in asking a question anyway is grounds for a suite at the Guantanamo Hilton, and Chimpy was just making sure he had the right reporter. He was probably also sizing up the reporters around the impertinent one, and they will be reprimanded for not taking their offending colleague away immediately.

I think Bush agrees with cheney, but doesn't want to say he doesn't so that the issue floats around more.

15. Pure RAGE
These latest revelations about his AWOL, the Kitty Kelley book, the instant reversal of his convention bounce, the spies in the Pentagon investigation. I predict Bush is due for huge psychological meltdown, quite possibly on camera. He cannot stand being called to account for his actions. He is a COWARD and a WUSS.

17. I think you're right about the meltdown.
The coward has always had his life arranged for him, & the pressure of having to campaign & be out front facing "hard" questions is getting to him.
