Just got another nasty robocall from the RNC here in Ohio.

We get one every day - alternating between the RNC and McCain as far as who approves the message. And they all use the "guilt by association" tactic and alternate between Rezco (today) and Ayers.

Obama has plenty of commercials here and his presence in Ohio is great, but these robocalls are infuriating. I have convinced myself that Obama is just above employing the negative robocall tactic and I can live with that (heck even be quite proud of it).

I just hope he knows what he is doing. I am confident that he does, since he seems to be one of the smartest (both in political and "real world" terms) candidate that we have had in a long time.

1. Most people hang up on robo calls

The contact rate for volunteer made calls is 10% the rate of someone actually listening to your robo call is probably near 1%. When you are doing a new one everyday its probably next to .5%

Same with literature the last week of an election...you get about 3 pieces a day from national, congressional, and local candidates. Most of it ends in the trash.
