And yet, it's good news.

Colorado: Obama leads by 9, 50-41.
Florida: Obama leads by 2, 45-43.
Nevada: Obama leads by 12, 52-40.
NH: Obama leads by 18, 55-37.
NC: Obama leads by 2, 48-46.
Ohio: Obama leads by 7, 48-41.
PA: Obama leads by 12, 52-40.
Virginia: Obama leads by 7, 49-42.

Of course, these numbers are already out of date, since the poll was taken from the 22nd to the 26th.

4. No complaint from me
I'm lovin' it. Perhaps it's all the negative ads - they're making TV/radio unwatchable/unlistenable - drives a lot of us insane!

7. Early voting data looks even better
From the crosstabs:

ASK ONLY IF SAID THEY HAVE ALREADY VOTED: In the election for President in November, for whom did you vote?

Colorado O: 57, M: 34
Florida* O: 45, M: 38
Nevada O: 56, M: 33
New Hampshire O: 52, M 34
North Carolina O: 59, M 33
Ohio O: 56, M 28
Pennsylvania O: 65, M: 22
Virginia O: 67 M 23

*In Florida, 14% refused, compared to much lower numbers in all the other states. This is the only state where Obama is below 50%.

8. The one thing about these polls is the fairly large # of undecideds
Obama is at 50% in two '04 red states. And he is over 50% with double-digit leads in the only two '04 blues in that group. Iowa and New Mexico aren't included. If it's because those states are not seen as battlegrounds, then they must be conceded to Obama, right? Seems to me that Obama is sitting on 26 red electoral votes with no threat to any of the "Kerry blues." That's 278.
