McCain just lied and said the 2001 interview was from "today"
He just said in PA, that the 2001 interview was from 'today' and fit it into his typical "spread the wealth" talking points.

After the doozy about Obama's inaugural address being written, which is completely false and distorted, I wonder if McCain and Palin think we're stupid and don't pay attention to the media or what's happening in the world.

1. They don't think we are... but they know their supporters are. (nt)

2. Now they're playing "Signed, sealed, delivered" at a PALIN rally. WTF? Obama uses that song.

3. I'm beginning to think that this
"Make up a bunch of crazy horse shit on the spot" campaign tactic really isn't working for the Cadaverick and his spunky little sidekick the way they chalked it out at campaign headquarters..

4. Unfortunately, a lot of people will hear it and assume it's true
It's amazing and very disheartening how many people think "Well, he can't say it if it isn't true. He can give an opinion that's wrong, but he can't claim a FACT that isn't true."

In fact, a week from now, a certain number of them will just "know" for a fact that Obama said that recently, though they can't for the life of them remember where they heard or read it.

It's not just stupid people. It's also busy people. They turn one ear toward the evening news as they're fixing dinner, helping the kids with homework, walking the dog, getting ready for work tomorrow. It goes in one ear and half of it falls out the other. The next day at work, when they actually can breathe a little easier than they can at home, they get the rightwingnut emails. The scrap of something or other they heard McCain say last night seems to match up with the email they just got and bingo. Another person convinced of a lie.

5. Symptomatic of his campaign
McCain's campaign doesn't vette...period. They are so quick to try and grab any political advantage they think they can get that they don't bother to do their homework and, ultimately, wind up with egg all over their faces.
