Is there early voting in NYC?
I thought there was one site in each borough where you can vote early but now I can't find it on Google. Does anyone know?

6. Absentee ballots in NY require a specified reason for absence on Election Day
It's not enough to simply want to vote early.

8. That is what I had seen before
Sigh, I thought I was going to be able to avoid huge lines. Oh well. At least I have the day off.

7. Absentee only. I would think that one site in each borough would be the board of elections

for each county. Absentee ballots can be walked into your board of elections.

12. YES!!!!! I did it today
But it ends tomorrow, 10-28-08. It is in the form of an absentee ballot. I did it today. You have to turn a blind eye to morals and fib to the representative that you will be on "vacation" and not in NYC/NY the day of the election. Luckily for me I WILL be on vacation so I, myself, was telling the truth however they did not cross reference check anything whatsoever. This slight moral issue is easy to deal with facing the consequences of long lines and last minute "shit doesnt work" situations that haunt every election. This isn't cheating in my opinion either, its making sure your vote is being counted!!! And not suspect to a "one day anything can happen" last minute republican bullsh*t as Allen Raymond mentioned he was paid to perform by the RNC back in '02 on Bill Maher the other night (in which he was prosecuted and served jail time). Also, get there early!!! The Brooklyn office processed about 400 people today and that's with the system failure that caused a 2 and a half hour delay. And the only reason why there is no "early voting" is because these offices are not designed to handle the crowd that would be attracted by allowing early voting.

So go vote tomorrow, anyone, absentee ballot style and make sure your vote is counted!

sorry for double post, first time using this forum. I forgot to mention there were NO paper backups or any other backups for that matter. I was told the Paper Backups "required" the system that had failed...

so again, vote sooner than later!
