split electoral vote system.

Nebraska's has 5 electoral votes and gives two to the overall popular vote winner in Nebraska. The other 3 are determined by the popular vote totals in each of the 3 congressional districts. District 2 includes Omaha and Obama has a change to win an electoral vote there. It's not 'Strong Republican'. They really should at least indicate that it's 'Weak Republican' in District 2.

I sent them an email about this subject.

2. Is Nebraska the only state
that can split electoral votes? I was thinking there was more than one, but I could be wrong.

4. The other one is Maine
And I'm dying to know if Omaha is trending toward Obama or not. I wish we could at least hand ONE electoral vote to him!

6. The last district poll I have seen shows Omaha +1 McCain.
I believe I saw it last week. I'm too lazy to try to find the link. It's close.

5. here's the reply from Votemaster
I don't believe that. NE-02 (Omaha) is R+9. If Obama can win R+9 districts, he will win Georgia,
Indiana, North Carolina, and get 400 electoral votes in which case NE-02 won't matter.
