The foreign-policy advisers Obama met with in Richmond on Wednesday
The foreign-policy advisers who joined Obama at the Jefferson yesterday included such Democratic Party stalwarts as former Ambassador to the United Nations Richard Holbrooke, former Rep. Lee Hamilton of Indiana, a co-chairman of the 9/11 commission, former Sen. Sam Nunn of Georgia and former Middle East diplomat Dennis Ross.

Biden and former Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright took part by phone.

2. No-I am not a huge fan of several of these people but it is an impressive list
at least as far as the inside the beltway types are concerned

3. I'm sorry. I misunderstood.
I don't trust Lee Hamilton or Richard Holbrooke.

I trust Sam Nunn, I think, though I disagree with him a lot.

Albright was competent, but unexceptional.
