I'm looking in Quicken at my last 5 years of clothing expenses...

I apparently need to step it up a bit.

1. I'm curious so I can compare it to mine--what
was your last five years total?

I wonder what mine is. Did you include shoes, belts, accessories? Handbags? I know mine HAS to be incredibly low.

(But don't ask me about books or plants, please.)

2. Der, nevermind.
You spend a bit under $500 a year on clothing. Math was never my strong suit.

I think I spend about $250 a year, if that. So it would take me nearly 700 years to spend that amount??

7. I know what you mean.
This year I bought two pairs of sweat pants, a pair of twill slacks, two tops, 3 or 4 T-shirts, some sox, a couple of bras, and some underwear. I bought all of these on the 40% or better sales racks.

9. and so our Sara was not embarrassed to spend this money so frivolously
Or did she think nobody would find out? She could've gone Macy's or even Penny's for a decent suit. Just one of her new designer suits cost over 8 K. This is more than hubby and I have managed to save in 15 years.

The woman spent 75K in just one afternoon at Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis.

Check this out, this is apparently how some "well-deserving" people live:

Some of these clothes look exactly like something you can buy at a department store for a mere fraction of the price.
