Oh my God, I just watched Palin's "The VP is in charge of the Senate" comment.

That was, seriously, one of the most shamefully ignorant things I've ever heard in a Presidential campaign. That's basic Constitution 101. There is zero excuse for that kind of ignorance. She seems to be doing the impossible...she's making George W. Bush look like Thomas Jefferson in comparison.

Every time I think that she's plumbed the depths of sheer, outright stupidity, she surprises us.

I thought she probably just said something about being in charge of the breaking vote in a tie. But when I finally heard what she said, I thought she was joking.

And she said absolutely nothing about taking over as the President of the United States if the duly elected president died. To me that is the most important job of the Vice President.
