5. I did it in '04, not as an atty but as an advocate

It was a lot of fun, very intense work. This was in Reno. I was glad to be there to ensure that everyone got a chance to vote and to help people find their correct polling place. The chief election officer was a bigot with a Bush sticker on her car. Of course she removed the sticker before parking in the lot. She complained to us about 'illegals' voting and was really nasty to us, kept insisting that we stay 100 feet away from the door (we kept creeping in anyway so we could be visible -- we were 'non-partisan' so we really did have the right to be there. We were polite but we stood our ground. Good luck and thank you for sharing your expertise.
