"The Emerging Democratic Majority".....?
it sounds good and it makes sense. When, do we really see this start to be readily apparent? Is it already in play? Will it be so gradual, that I will never realize it has already happened? I want to see previously unimaginable things like Texas going to a democrat in a presidential election! I want to see the power of the Atlanta vote make what goes on in the hinterlands a non factor. What form will this new majority take?

1. It's Supposed To Be In Full Swing Later This Decade...
but there's one problem...The PERPETUAL WAR...that is something that could overcome everything else...That's what Bush and the republicans are counting on.

I see a lot of similarities with 1972...no one's paying attention to Bush's criminality, just like no one paid attention to Watergate...UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE...

2. It's hard to see, but things are swinging our way.
Other than just demographics, there are political mega-trends underway and the conservative mega-trend has peaked after starting in about the 1966 mid-terms.

3. If Crazy George gets 4 more years...
his appointees will still dominate the Supreme Court for several decades.

4. It's happening in San Diego, according to a recent NYT article...
and I can see it happening across the Southwest. I can see Texas one day again a Democratic state. I can see a big turn of the wheel as Gen Y begins to vote in large numbers. This assumes that our democracy survives the Bush cabal, and its right-wing extremist power base.
