Who in their right mind would endorse McCain at this point?

Individual or organization?
A terrible horrible candidate who has abandoned any semblance of
principles & is destined for a drubbing.

1. They fall into one of two categories IMO

Two major groups:

1. People who are completely opposed to endorsing Obama because they won't endorse a person of color, won't endorse a Democrat, etc., and

2. Single-issue voters who disagree with Obama's position on some wedge issue like abortion or guns.

(BTW I do believe it is possible for a person to be in his or her "right mind" and fall into one of those groups.)

3. National Review
Probably some newpapers in the red states. I don't see any major newspaper in Oklahoma going for Obama. The NRA endorsed McCain.

4. Me.

For the right price--and secure in the knowledge that nobody in their right mind would listen to me. The way I see it, it would be free money. But it would have to be ENOUGH money. Like enough to make me rich, which according to McNasty would be about 5 million. And of course I'd donate the max to Obama and find other ways to assuage my conscience with a fair-sized portion of the rest.

5. ugh, don't get me started
I've recently had some people from my youth get in touch with me through Facebook, and one woman (a Conservative Christian, naturally...) put "______ is frightened by the idea of spreading the wealth, even to those who don't work. Isn't that what charity is for???"

Puke.

Seriously? Jesus would disagree with you, sweetie. Having grown up in a small town, now I remember why I was happy to leave, although it is nice to reconnect with a couple of people. I left her a response that said: I'd rather no one needed charity or wealth-spreading, but that's just me I guess. More frightening is the redistribution of wealth upward, often to "people who don't work." :)

Kind of dickish I suppose, but seriously - who the hell can support these people?
