McCain Planning to Spend Time with ‘Joe the Plumber’
October 16, 2008 3:17 PM

“I'm probably going to call him this morning," Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., told Fox News Channel's Carl Cameron. "I thought he would probably be up late. I heard that his -- that his phone lines were pretty well were flooded. But I think we're going to be spending some time together.”

Interestingly, "Joe the Plumber" is not named Joe (his full name is Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher) and according to the Toledo Blade he's not a licensed plumber.

The Blade also reports: "Linda Howe, executive director of the Lucas County Board of Elections, said a Samuel Joseph Worzelbacher, whose address and age match Joe the Plumber’s, registered in Lucas County on Sept. 10, 1992. He voted in his first primary on March 4 of this year, registering as a Republican. Ms. Howe said that the name may be misspelled in the database."

1. More stuff is coming out about him almost hourly -- I don't think McCain
will be 'palling around' with him when the MSM reports on him.

Joe the Floridian
By Michael C. Bender | Thursday, October 16, 2008, 03:11 PM

Republicans, hoping Joe the Plumber will fix their draining poll results, rolled out the Florida versions of the blue collar Ohioan who was trotted out in the presidential debate last night.

In a conference call happening now, Jo the Restaurateur, Steve the Dry Cleaner and Larry the Mechanic are talking up the John McCain and criticizing Barrack Obama.

(For the record, it was Jo Gonzalez, owner of Habana Cafe in St. Petersburg; Steve Thompson, owner of Sand Dollar Cleaners in Jacksonville; and Larry Perry, an Orlando mechanic.)

11. VOTER FRAUD!
Manoman, they are going full force for Sarah's "constituency." Well, maybe it isn't fraud as this US/THEM really IS what some want to believe. Hopefully, their actors are as talentless and fraudulent as Sarah 'n' Joe.

3. What a bizarre thing to hang your campaign on--some dude who lied about his career?
Who the fuck cares about this guy, srsly? Is this what McStupid is reduced to now, grabbing lowlifes off the street to try to make his campaign relevant?

10. Well, since his name is misspelled in the election database
and the Republicans are trying to get voters kicked off here in Ohio who don't match up...I say he is out. One less vote for McCain I guess.

17. The corporate media spin this B.S. frame about the election centering on "Joe Six Pack"
it was never about "Joe Six Pack," "Soccer Moms," "Hockey Moms," or any other single or grouped entity, these are nothing but marketing terms, cynically employed by the corporatist wing of the corporatist party and their corporate media puppet enablers in an attempt do divide and categorize the American People. Divide and conquer is what this is all about, and they haven't changed their Machiavellian ways even after the past eight calamitous years.

Having set the stage by cheapening the election in to a marketing gimmick, with the name "Joe", the Grand Old Corporatist Party are hoping to ride this delusional energy in to the White House, so they get some planted clown who happens to use that name to personalize the election as if it were all about him in order to magnify his import out of proportion, thus allowing him to damage the one candidate most likely to actually help the American People as a whole.

This election is about the devastated economy, a war based on lies with Iraq, the betrayal of one our covert CIA agents and her company by the corrupt, incompetent Cheney/Bush administration, global warming climate change threatening life as we know it, abusive totalitarian government illegally wiretapping the American People, executive office enabled torture; something that's been repugnant to every President since George Washington, our piss poor standing around world, the exploding national debt, disenfranchisement of the American voters by fraudulent vote counting machines which always seem to err on the side of the Republicans, the purging of innocent voters, etc. etc.

When you forget what this election is about and let the corporate media dictate and market it to you, the Republican Party wins.
