Bush's "Scowls of Incredulity"? Anybody else notice?
A lady interviewed by Washington Post about Bush's speech did not like what she refered to as Bush's "scowls of incredulity". I did not see the speech. But I have never heard the media mention this. But I do remember all the gab about "Gore's sighs".

I don't know if she is refering to the same expression I noticed. After some of his statements I thought he looked both smug and incredulous that nobody challenged any of the bullshit statements that he would make.

4. An insightful observation
It points out a non-verbal weakness that can be exploited. Bush's reactions to certain types of statements or personal criticism are something you can bet that image concious Republican consultants work on constantly. And make no mistake- they are very good at what they do. At least, so long as they see it coming and/or can control the rules of engagement.

They can't do that so much in extemp- and almost not at in a bona fide impromtu.
