What is this? No Ayers? Palin-McCain rally
Palin finished with her boring speech and McCain trying to hit his usual boring points and waiting for applause. No mention of Ayers? Right Wing must be disappointed

3. McCain/Palin realize the cable networks are carrying it live.
Palin only whips up the racism and xenophobia of her fanbase when she thinks nobody is watching.

Trust me... when she goes out on her own again, she'll get right back to it.

4. I think their polling showed them it was hurting them more than helping.
There was a LOT of coverage about Sarah trying to incite threats, and even the SS said they were going to investigate the "kill him" scream at one of her appearances.

6. The Ayers talking point backfired big-time
It sent McCain and Palin's negatives up and not Obama's.

Also McCain-Palin have realised that the racist talking points bring out the worst in their crowds and this backfires on them.

7. Circulating some bullshit about McCain being uncomfortable with it
True story: They focus grouped it among independents and flat-lined like an embalmed corpse.

C'mon. Who they foolin' with this shite?

The Ayers attacks were not working. In fact, they were backfiring.
