3. The producers said: "Think if a scenario where McCain can still win this"....
"Or there's no reason for us to put you on the air".

So he did.

6. Bingo! The instant someone says McCain cannot win, MSNBC has nothing to say. Dead air.

11. Exactly. They aren't capable of any substantive discussion -- only simple horse races.

5. It's his "Make the race sound close; it's good for ratings" weed.
It's stink weed, and it gives you a headache. But it's cheap and readily available.

7. I was watching, and, in fairness, it was Joe who brought up Pennsylvania.
Chuck Todd, in his original presentation, could not have been clearer that it looks like it would be very difficult for McCain to win this thing.

12. Look at it this way--
his "report" may encourage more folks in PA to go volunteer for Obama because they think the margin is closer than it is. So this could be a good thing for us.

13. Good
If the race keeps getting touted as close we'll still get resources that help down ticket races for congress.

14. He also said
that McCain would benefit more from a war about Keating vs. Ayres.

I just turned off the TV after that fucked up comment, started watching a documentary on San Francisco.

What the hell is this guy injecting under his toenails?

15. He should've been dropped after getting caught discussing Palin with Noonan and Murphy off camera.
It's pretty obvious now that he knows what bullshit they're pulling, yet he's still playing along with a straight face.

Chuch Todd is not one of my favorites because he blows like the wind.

He really knows the truth he just can't seem to tell it all the time.

18. Here you go:
http://www.crooksandliars.com/2008/09/03/peggy-noonan-and-mike-murphys-off-air-attack-of-palin-for-vp-pick-whos-telling-the-truth/

Murphy: You know, because I come out of the blue swing state governor work. Engler, Whitman, Thompson, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush. And these guys, this is all like how you want to (inaudible) this race. You know, just run it up. And it's not gonna work.

Noonan: It's over.

Murphy: Still, McCain can give a version of the Lieberman speech to do himself some good.

CT: Don't you think the Palin pick was insulting to Kay Bailey Hutchinson, too (inaudible)

Noonan: I saw Kay this morning.

Murphy: They're all bummed out. I mean, is she really the most qualified woman they could have turned to?

Todd: Yeah, I mean is she really the most qualified woman they could have turned to?

Noonan: The most qualified? No. I think they went for this, excuse me, political bullshit about narratives and (inaudible) the picture.

Yeah, but what's the narrative?

Noonan: Every time the Republicans do that because that's not where they live and it's not what they're good at and they blow it.

Murphy: You know what's really the worst thing about it? The greatness of McCain is no cynicism and this is cynical.

And as you call it gimmicky.

21. Yup, it's becoming laughable..
there is an Obama landslide in the making and no MSM pundit will admit it. They're still calling it a "tight" race.

22. All the networks want it to seem like every state is a swing state
To maximize ratings now, and maximize ratings on November 4th. I'm sure Chuck knows that what he's saying is full of bull, but the advertisers don't want a landslide.
