Obama's Strategy: Make McCain Look Like a Crazy Old Man
That's what needs to happen. The ground work is already there and people are ready to believe McCain is an erratic, crazy, old fart.

We need to drive this home with the newest attack coming out of the McCain camp. For McCain and his campaign to suggest that Obama is "palling around with terrorists" is just plain crazy.

make it plain for people.

Obama should spell out that McCain doesn't have all of his faculties. McCain is accusing a sitting United States Senator of being a friend to terrorists. But McCain is the same guy who said he would follow the terrorist who attacked us on 9/11 to the "gates of hell" but wouldn't even follow bin Laden to the cave where he lives in the mountains between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Obama was 8 when Ayers committed his crime. Ayers is currently a college professor.

Obama has a very tenuous association with Ayers. What are Palin's and McCain's associations?

Keating Five
Alaska Independence Party - a radical group that wants Alaska to secede from the United States
Paul Begala mentioned on MTP this morning that McCain belonged to a group that was labeled by the ADL as racist and ant-Semetic
Palin's history of corruption is so vast and deep, there is honestly more than enough to pick and choose from for an attack
McCain's obstruction of justice in his wife's DEA case and using his influence to help his wife avoid jail time

Then there's the fact that McCain admitted to making propaganda tapes for the Viet Cong. That to me is real treason.

1. Let Obama call it.
I trust his political instincts much more than I do my own, or yours. Watch him. He will hit just the right note.

2. "McCain admitted to making propaganda tapes for the Viet Cong"
Not to defend McCain on policies or much of anything else, but if you are being tortured, you might make propaganda tapes too. It would be political suicide for Obama or Biden to go there.

3. Sorry...
I just have to say no matter how much I was being tortured, I would NEVER make propaganda tapes against my Country.

I would die for my Country before I would spew propaganda.

7. McCain claims to be a hero
A hero doesn't throw his country under the bus for his own survival. Obama doesn't have to go there, but some other group can.

11. Exactly. But it should be more explicit
Some in the MSM like Brokejaw, like to make excuses for McCain. "That's the McCain we've all come to know" "Not Miss Congeniality". NO, McCain needs to be EXPOSED as the tempermental, hostile, knee jerk, crazy old man that he is.

People KNOW he is angry.

But do people understand that he is also very, very mentally imbalanced, as in crazy thoughts swimming around in his head, as in "psychotic", as in "PTSD related crazy", as in don't let him anywhere near the red button type of crazy.

Look at the video of him getting lost on stage last week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoOK3prNrZI

This video is proof positive why McCain should not be let anywhere near the White House.

9. That will be fairly easy . McCain is doing without Obama saying a word.
But I do agree this is a good strategy. The public is already leaning that way and little nudge here and there should solidify it. McCain does appear unstable and confused and erratic and getting worse by the day.

10. Obama needs to stay
on message. He has been cool as a cucumber and making all the right decisions. The only problem is that McCain does fairly well in debates. He will be very pleasant and gentlemanly in the town hall setting Tuesday and this time he will look at Obama. McCain's problem is that Obama will also do well Tuesday. I am cautiously confident for the moment.
